I recently stayed for one night and was thrilled to find several parks and attractions within a short distance, including the beautiful Carolinas Aviation Museum just a 2.5 km stroll away and the impressive Billy Graham Library about a 6 km walk from my room. this made exploring the city so enjoyable without needing transportation.

Nice staff and free shuttle but dirty common areas with a smoke smell.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating for my family, even my large breed dog! We really enjoyed our visit to the National Whitewater Center, where we got to go zip-lining. Overall, it was a great base for our adventures!

In my wife’s opinion, the place could use better cleanliness. My kids wished for a bit more variety at breakfast, maybe some fruit or yogurt options would be nice.

Not for the faint-hearted

The shuttle service was really good and the driver even offered to take me to the Waffle House across the street. The free breakfast had bagels and muffins; I mean, it wasn't gourmet but it got the job done.

It wasn't a bargain by any stretch, but hey, I guess you get what you pay for.

Sipped on some fresh sandwiches nearby, and wow, the flavors were off the charts! Plus, the beds in my Queen Room were super comfy, making each night feel like a mini-vacation. The overall vibe of clean spaces was a definite bonus.

However, the elevator situation was concerning. It kept malfunctioning and I found myself having to take the stairs on the 3rd floor. The cleanliness of the common areas left a lot to be desired. There was trash in the hallways at times. Limited breakfast options made mornings feel a bit rushed. I wished there were more choices available, like eggs or bacon. I had a nice stay overall, but some improvements would make a significant difference.

my stay at microtel was great! everything was clean and the staff was really nice. Special shoutout to the shuttle driver on feb 27. he was super welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. having a free shuttle to the airport made our trip to gassaway, west virginia, so much easier!
